Tritucap

The Tritucap is a specialist land-clearing and vegetation-processing machine used in forestry, right-of-way maintenance, and site preparation. Unlike conventional woodchippers that process cut material fed into a hopper, the Tritucap is a self-propelled machine that drives through standing vegetation, shredding and mulching it in place. It is particularly effective for clearing dense scrub, small-diameter trees, and brash without the need for prior felling. This collection covers Tritucap machine types, operating capabilities, site suitability, comparison with forestry mulchers, and applications in land clearing and vegetation management.

Reference Notes

  • The Tritucap can process standing vegetation up to approximately 20 cm in diameter in a single pass without prior felling.
  • Material processed by a Tritucap is left on site as a mulch layer, eliminating the need for debris removal and providing soil protection.
  • Tritucap machines are particularly effective in terrain where conventional felling equipment cannot safely operate.
