Chainsaw safety clothing is a category of personal protective equipment (PPE) specifically engineered to reduce the severity of chainsaw contact injuries. Unlike general workwear, chainsaw protective clothing uses cut-resistant layers — typically Kevlar or similar fibres — that clog the chain on contact, stopping it before deep penetration occurs. Wearing correct PPE does not prevent all chainsaw injuries, but it dramatically reduces their severity. This collection covers chainsaw chaps and trousers, helmets with face shields, hearing protection, gloves, and boots — including how to select the right protection class for the work being performed.
